About this specimen
A translucent purple fluorite cube rises from sugar-textured quartz from Yaogangxian. Pale violet zoning crosses the stepped cubic faces, while glittering colorless quartz covers the lower matrix and creeps onto several fluorite edges. A smaller adjoining cube adds depth to the upright miniature. Two views show the internal purple windows, natural edge wear, and contrast between blocky fluorite and fine druse. Dimensions: 2.8 × 2.2 cm / 28 × 22 mm / 1.10 × 0.87 inch. Estimated weight: 9 g / 0.32 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
