About this specimen

A tower of red octahedra stacked corner over corner as though balanced by hand — except nothing here was arranged. This Inner Mongolian fluorite grew as a natural chain of sharp octahedral crystals, strawberry-red and translucent to the core, threaded with fine fibrous inclusions that give the color a velvet depth when light passes through.

Red is one of the scarcest colors fluorite ever achieves, and these Inner Mongolian pockets delivered it as freestanding grown crystals with faces intact — not the cleaved octahedra common in the trade. The find was brief and the material has stopped coming out, which is steadily moving pieces like this into collector-to-collector territory.

The chain stands 6.4 cm tall (6.4 × 2.8 × 2.8 cm, 85 g) and looks good from every side, but it saves its best act for backlighting, when the whole column glows ember-red. It ships with the small display base shown in the photographs — all taken of this exact specimen.

Frequently asked questions

Will I receive the exact specimen shown?

Yes. Every specimen is a single, one-of-a-kind piece, and the photographs show the exact item you will receive — never a stock photo.

Is this Fluorite natural?

Yes — specimens like this form naturally. As is standard in the trade, some pieces are gently cleaned or trimmed; we photograph the actual specimen and describe its origin and condition conservatively.

How is it packed and shipped?

Orders ship worldwide with fully insured, tracked delivery, carefully packed to protect fragile crystals. A display base is included.

Can I return it?

Yes — there is a 14-day return window.
