About this specimen
A single complex pyrite crystal rises above pale quartz from Fujian. Repeating metallic layers produce a rosette-like polygonal surface, with stepped ridges spiraling around the center of the broad front face. Smaller pyrite forms continue along the sides and catch bright gold reflections. The reverse angle shows the main crystal's rounded geometric depth and the white quartz base supporting it. Dimensions: 1.9 × 2 × 3.3 cm / 19 × 20 × 33 mm / 0.75 × 0.79 × 1.30 inch. Estimated weight: 14 g / 0.49 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
