About this specimen
Pearly spherical opal grows across cubic fluorite from Guizhou. Rounded cream and blush clusters cover the upper face, while translucent fluorite cubes remain visible along the side and within shallow gaps. Some spheres display subtle iridescent reflections and layered growth rings. Two views show the opal coating continuing around the compact host and the unusual contrast between smooth rounded forms and sharp geometric fluorite.
