About this specimen
Most of this broad quartz point is taken up by its phantom: a milky, six-sided white pyramid that fills the body almost to the edges, leaving only a clear rim of quartz around it. The effect is soft and cloud-like, a ghost of a crystal inside a crystal.
Small rust-brown specks and a few darker dots are scattered over the phantom faces, and one side shows a fine phantom line running across. The point is polished; the base is rough and natural. It is heavy and stable, with a gentle, glowing presence that looks even better in person than in photos.
