About this specimen
Two rounded, honey-yellow fluorite balls, one larger than the other, sit side by side on a small white quartz base like a pair of fruits on a plate. Their surfaces are made of countless tiny cube faces, which gives them a frosted glow rather than a mirror shine.
Botryoidal (ball-form) fluorite is rare compared with cubes and octahedra, and the yellow Henan material is one of the few sources of it. A thumbnail-size piece with a lot of character.
