가늘고 물처럼 맑은 석영 기둥이 이 황금빛 쉬바오딩 결정군 위로 첨탑처럼 솟아오릅니다. 10 cm 높이의 표본 꼭대기를 유리 같은 첨정 하나가 장식하고, 그 아래 결정들은 철분이 풍부한 유체에 따뜻한 호박색으로 물들었으며, 아쿠아마린 기둥과 은빛 운모 판이 결정군 사이사이에 자리합니다. 꿀과 유리를 섞은 듯한 색조는 이 산지에서는 흔치 않은 것으로, 온전히 이 표본만의 개성입니다.
쓰촨성 핑우현의 쉬바오딩은 바로 이런 광물 조합, 곧 녹주석과 석영, 운모가 하나의 정동을 나누어 쓰는 모습으로 이름이 높습니다. 그리고 채굴 과정을 거치고도 길쭉한 첨정을 손상 없이 지켜 낸 결정군은 흔치 않은 예외에 속합니다.
