About this specimen

Cream and pale yellow calcite spheres are scattered across the inside of this shallow Zhejiang cavity. A few larger rounded growths sit among smaller dots, with the uneven rock rim framing their arrangement. The interior has a muted sandy tone that contrasts with the darker outer edge visible in the photographs. This is a rock specimen with rounded mineral growth, rather than a polished crystal sphere. Its two recorded dimensions give the overall scale without implying a measured depth. The estimated weight is shown separately below. The open cavity and varied spacing of the spheres make its front-facing arrangement the main visual feature.
