이 내몽골 표본의 중앙에는 넓은 판 모양의 결정이 곧게 서 있습니다. 유백색이며 빛이 통과하는 자리에서는 옅은 초록빛이 감돕니다. 그 아래 절반에서는 가느다란 흰색 주상 결정이 마치 바늘 한 줌을 떨어뜨린 듯 부채꼴로 퍼져 나갑니다. 거의 모든 면 위에 작고 검은 알갱이가 수십 개씩 흩어져 있고, 아래쪽은 녹슨 주황색으로 착색된 거친 모암으로 어두워집니다.
석영과 방해석의 조합은 이 지역 탄산염 모암 정동의 특징이며, 소장해 두면 쓸모가 많습니다. 한 표본 안에서 모스 경도 7의 광물과 경도 3의 광물을 나란히 놓고 비교할 수 있기 때문입니다. 관리는 더 무른 쪽에 맞추십시오. 부드러운 붓만 쓰시고 산이나 초음파 세척기는 절대 피하시기 바랍니다. 가느다란 주상 결정은 쉽게 부러지므로 옮기실 때는 아래에서 받쳐 주십시오.
