About this specimen
Bright pyrite faces meet around deep angular recesses in a compact metallic group. Some broad planes remain smooth and reflective, while neighboring areas contain smaller steps and openings. Dark sphalerite is recorded in the association and appears around the lower mineral texture. The second photograph reveals more of the recessed face structure and the way several projecting crystals overlap, giving the specimen a strongly geometric outline with alternating bright surfaces and shaded interior gaps. Dimensions: 2.8 × 1.9 × 2.6 cm / 28 × 19 × 26 mm / 1.10 × 0.75 × 1.02 inch. Estimated weight: 16 g / 0.56 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
