About this specimen
Numerous clear-looking calcite prisms overlap in a compact, uneven group. Broad reflections change from pale gray to warm brown across neighboring faces, while smaller crystals project around the outer edges. Several narrow forms extend below the wider upper cluster. The second view reveals more of the layered arrangement and the different crystal directions, giving the specimen a busy surface of transparent-looking planes, bright highlights and darker internal reflections. Dimensions: 2.9 × 2 × 2.5 cm / 29 × 20 × 25 mm / 1.14 × 0.79 × 0.98 inch. Estimated weight: 12 g / 0.42 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
