About this specimen
Dark hematite forms small rounded and radiating groups across an irregular matrix. Violet-gray cuprite faces appear among the darker growth, with one brighter angular crystal near the upper edge and others lower on the front. The fine hematite texture contrasts with the smoother cuprite reflections. A second view reveals the low projecting side of the specimen and brings the small rosette-like details into clearer relief around the colored crystals. Dimensions: 2.3 × 1.3 × 1.5 cm / 23 × 13 × 15 mm / 0.91 × 0.51 × 0.59 inch. Estimated weight: 4 g / 0.14 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
