About this specimen
A cabinet-size cluster of large, glassy fluorite cubes in blue-grey with darker phantoms inside, enclosing small pyrite crystals; in daylight the colour shifts toward purple, as the sunlight photo shows. The cube faces are smooth and slightly stepped.
Nigerian daylight fluorite is the affordable cousin of the English Rogerley material and shows the same colour change; at 1.3 kg this is a substantial display piece.
