About this specimen

A crust of white druzy quartz breaks over the top of this specimen in soft lobed waves, like surf caught mid-fall, thinning along its lower margin into scattered flecks. Below that waterline the fluorite stands fully exposed: glassy crystals, near-colourless with only the faintest green cast, packed shoulder to shoulder, a dark seam of matrix showing through the gaps between them.

Coatings of this kind arrive late, after the fluorite had finished growing—silica-rich fluids moving through the pocket and laying a felt of minute quartz crystals over whatever they touched. The result is a piece with two textures in one hand: matte and granular above, hard and vitreous below. Nothing here has been cut, coated, or assembled, and the fluorite beneath is soft enough at Mohs 4 that it never should be.

6.6 × 5.6 × 2.5 cm and 150 g, hand-sized and shown resting in the fingers; it travels without a base. What the camera recorded here is the piece that leaves our hands, with no substitutions.

Frequently asked questions

Will I receive the exact specimen shown?

Yes. Every specimen is a single, one-of-a-kind piece, and the photographs show the exact item you will receive — never a stock photo.

Is this Fluorite natural?

Yes — specimens like this form naturally. As is standard in the trade, some pieces are gently cleaned or trimmed; we photograph the actual specimen and describe its origin and condition conservatively.

How is it packed and shipped?

Orders ship worldwide with fully insured, tracked delivery, carefully packed to protect fragile crystals. A display base is included.

Can I return it?

Yes — there is a 14-day return window.
