About this specimen
A pale blue-green fluorite crystal with a frosted surface encloses the base of a milky candle quartz, the quartz point rising from the fluorite like a wick; known as eye-of-Inner-Mongolia. Fluoresces under a UV torch, as the photos show.
Inner Mongolia fluorite with candle quartz at 35 g; a thumbnail with an unusual growth relationship between the two minerals.
