About this specimen

Xuebaoding, Sichuan, aquamarine at 5.3 cm and 63 g; a small cabinet piece, priced with the damage disclosed. A glassy pale blue aquamarine block with a frosted top face; the supplier notes a slightly damaged face.

Glassy hexagonal prisms and a sea-blue tone define the aquamarine variety.

The Xuebaoding veins of Pingwu County, Sichuan, produced the orange scheelite and muscovite-aquamarine combinations that put Chinese minerals on the map.

The piece is small cabinet in size, 5.3 × 2.2 × 4.2 cm (2.09 × 0.87 × 1.65 in) and 63 g (2.2 oz). Disclosed condition: a slightly damaged face. The price reflects it and the photographs show the affected area. Otherwise the piece is sold exactly as photographed.

Every specimen here is photographed and catalogued individually before listing.
