About this specimen
A small olive-green demantoid garnet sits near the edge of a much larger pale calcite group. Broad clear-looking calcite faces occupy the center, with smaller white crystals gathering around their lower boundaries. The second view places the green crystal along one side and reveals the depth of the surrounding calcite. The specimen's strongest visual contrast comes from that single darker green accent against the layered white and transparent-looking crystal surfaces that make up most of the piece. Dimensions: 5 × 3 × 4 cm / 50 × 30 × 40 mm / 1.97 × 1.18 × 1.57 inch. Estimated weight: 48 g / 1.69 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
