About this specimen
Platy royal-blue azurite flowers run down a peach-brown matrix with fibrous malachite and fluorite from Guizhou. Sharp blue blades form a dense vertical band, while small green tufts appear near the top and lower edge. Pale violet fluorite is present among the matrix crystals but remains secondary to the copper minerals. Two views show the azurite's saturated color and the specimen's slender upright plate form.
