About this specimen
A block completely coated in electric-blue, velvety azurite, with tiny dark specks in the crust and a brown base showing at the bottom; the fluorite beneath is hidden by the blue. It is described as rare azurite-covered fluorite.
Yunnan azurite over fluorite at 118 g; an unusual pairing where the copper carbonate has taken over the whole surface. Avoid dust; wash hands after handling.
