About this specimen
Purple angular fluorite crystals occupy a shallow recess within cream-colored material. The pale surrounding growth partly encloses the purple group, creating an irregular frame around the more transparent faces. Warm yellow-brown areas remain visible at the outer edges.
The pale frame extends around the purple crystals, emphasizing their recessed setting. Violet crystals occupy the cavity-like center, bordered by contrasting pale calcite. Phantom growth is reported within this fluorite and calcite association.
