About this specimen
A group of translucent honey-yellow fluorite cubes, some with a faint blue-purple tint at the core, growing around and enclosing small tabular baryte blades. The cubes are glassy and the yellow glows when back-lit.
Yellow blue-cored fluorite from the Beijing district is an uncommon Chinese fluorite type; the enclosed baryte makes it a two-species piece and the colour zoning rewards a close look.
Size 5.1 × 4.4 × 2.8 cm / 2.01 × 1.73 × 1.10 in; weight 73 g / 2.6 oz. Small cabinet specimen, displays well on a shelf or in a cabinet. Sold as photographed, with any known repair, mount, treatment or condition note disclosed in this listing; colour is as true to hand as the photos allow.
