About this specimen
Guangdong pyromorphite at 1.8 cm; a thumbnail, supplied in the display box shown. Pyromorphite in a bright yellow-green crusts the top of a grey matrix sliver, the short barrel crystals packed together so the growth reads as a single green ridge.
Pyromorphite's resinous lustre and stacked hexagonal barrels make the Chinese examples so collectable; wash hands after handling.
Guangdong is the source of the red hematoid quartz and green phantom quartz that reached collectors after 2015.
By size it is thumbnail, 1.8 × 1 × 0.7 cm (0.71 × 0.39 × 0.28 in). Otherwise the piece is sold exactly as photographed.
