About this specimen
This Brazilian citrine sphere glows a rich lemon gold, warming to a deeper honey tone in some lights. Its interior is full of soft feathered veils that sweep upward from the base, giving the ball the layered look of a bowl filling with light, which is where the Chinese trade name 'treasure bowl' comes from. In that tradition such spheres are regarded as gathering good fortune.
Look into the lower side and you will find a small white rod-shaped crystal enclosed in the citrine, a stone-in-stone with a rainbow flashing beside it. Turned again, a second patch of glittering rainbow colour appears. The sphere is polished and clear. Moving footage is available too.
