About this specimen
Look into this polished Brazilian citrine and the first thing you notice is the weave: hundreds of fine silvery streaks run in parallel, then cross at an angle, building what looks like a net suspended inside pale honey-coloured quartz. Collectors call these patterns energy and love nets, and this sphere has both.
Low on one side sits a stepped phantom shaped like a small mountain, its layers alternating black and silver, with a ribbon of rainbow colour caught along its edges. Under a torch the needle curtain lights up and a violet flash appears at the rim. The body is clear and transparent between the inclusions, and the polish is bright enough to mirror the room.
