About this specimen
Blue needles fill this pale citrine sphere from edge to edge. Under a light they fan out in long, silky sprays, crossing and overlapping like feathers falling through still air, which is why this material is often called angel feather quartz. The body is a soft pale yellow, clear enough that the needles seem to float in space.
Small bubbles and specks sparkle among the needles, and on one side a broad rainbow blooms in vivid pink, green and violet. At this size the effect is immersive, a true collector's sphere. It is polished to a bright finish, and a video is available to show the needles moving in the light.
