About this specimen
A thumbnail with more going on than many cabinet pieces: two intergrown Yaogangxian fluorite cubes in mossy sage green, their edges and corners picked out in violet, their interiors clouded with the green mineral inclusions that give the crystal its landscape depth. A few grains of white dolomite cling to the faces.
Green bodies with purple-traced edges are a Yaogangxian specialty, and finding the combination complete at 3.9 × 2.2 × 4.0 cm is exactly what thumbnail collectors compete for: full character at miniature scale, 78 g in the hand.
