About this specimen
A pale violet fluorite crystal rests near the upper edge of a spreading white quartz group. Cream-colored dolomite growth occupies part of the lower matrix, while several longer quartz points project sideways and upward. The closer view shows the fluorite's translucent-looking face against a broader pale quartz crystal. Differences in crystal size and direction give the specimen an open upper outline, with the small violet face providing a localized colored accent. Dimensions: 4.3 × 3 × 3.9 cm / 43 × 30 × 39 mm / 1.69 × 1.18 × 1.54 inch. Estimated weight: 53 g / 1.87 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
