About this specimen
Separated purple fluorite crystals punctuate a pale, finely crystalline quartz surface. Larger violet forms sit near the outer corners, while smaller faces gather around the central recess. Their distinct edges stand out against the granular white quartz and give the piece several viewing points instead of one dominant crystal. From the angled view, more of the pale base appears beneath the raised fluorite, revealing a shallow cluster with changes in height across its broad front face. Dimensions: 4.2 × 1.7 × 2.4 cm / 42 × 17 × 24 mm / 1.65 × 0.67 × 0.94 inch. Estimated weight: 18 g / 0.63 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
