Purple modified fluorite forms a broad rounded cluster with unusual crosshatched and horizontal surface lines. Multiple polyhedral faces meet in a dense pattern, ranging from smoky violet centers to paler lavender edges. The side view shows the shallow depth of the group and a small white matrix area along one end. Repeated geometric ridges give this Liaoning specimen a textured appearance even where the individual crystals merge together.
