About this specimen
The rainbow in this Brazilian citrine is impossible to miss. Bands of green, magenta, gold and blue ripple outward in concentric rings across the lower half of the ball, and a straight healed plane cuts down through them so the colour forms a distinct T. Rotate it and a second rainbow opens as a wide yellow-to-blue fan.
The citrine itself is a clean, pale golden yellow, deepening to honey near the base. One side is calm and nearly free of colour, which makes the rainbow side all the more dramatic when you turn it back. A tiny round target-like inclusion near the edge adds a curious detail. Polished; a clip of the rainbow is available.
