About this specimen

Held to the light this block turns the colour of pale celery water — a soft celadon green clouding to milk-white near the base, with faint darker green wisps drifting through the interior like weather. The top and back are broad flat cleavage faces, slightly stepped and glassy where they are fresh; the lower margin is a natural break, edged with a dark green film and one small rust-coloured patch.

This is cleaved fluorite rather than a complete crystal, and that is worth saying plainly: octahedral cleavage in four directions means Yaogangxian material often comes off the pocket wall as clean plates and wedges like this one. The reward is optical — little shows off the internal colour banding of fluorite better than a flat, unobstructed cleavage window. At Mohs 4 it scratches easily, so give it a shelf rather than a pocket.

6.6 × 4.3 × 4.8 cm, 179 g, and no mount is fitted. The specimen in these images is the one that will be boxed for you.

Can I return it?

Yes — there is a 14-day return window.
