About this specimen

Inner Mongolia garnet at 6.1 cm; a small cabinet piece. The supplier did not record a weight.

Garnet crystallises as dodecahedra and trapezohedra, geometry that shows cleanly on well-formed crystals.

Inner Mongolia's Huanggang and Chifeng districts produce fluorite, calcite, garnet and rhodochrosite in a lustre and clarity that set the modern standard for Chinese carbonates.

Dimensions place it in the small cabinet range, 5 × 4 × 6.1 cm (1.97 × 1.57 × 2.40 in). The specimen is otherwise sold in the condition shown.

Each specimen is individually photographed and catalogued before it is listed.

Can I return it?

Yes — there is a 14-day return window.
