About this specimen
A purple fluorite face appears inside a small opening surrounded by pale crystalline growth. Clear-looking quartz points and white calcite textures cover much of the rounded specimen, while pink apatite is also recorded in the association. The closer photograph shows the violet area recessed beneath projecting transparent-looking faces. Fine crystals and broader pale forms create a varied surface around the concentrated patch of purple near the lower front. Dimensions: 3.3 × 1.8 × 3.1 cm / 33 × 18 × 31 mm / 1.30 × 0.71 × 1.22 inch. Estimated weight: 19 g / 0.67 oz, calculated from its dimensions.
