About this specimen

A big sphere with exceptional clarity. Outdoors this Brazilian citrine acts like a crystal lens, holding an upside-down view of trees, sky and buildings, while on a pale cloth it glows a warm straw gold. The polish is excellent, with a clean, even surface all round.
Near the centre sits a small cluster of inclusions that breaks light into vivid rainbow rings, the kind of detail that draws people closer. Turn the sphere and you find a delicate cloud of fine black-silver rutile hanging in the crystal like a puff of smoke. With so much clear space around these features, it is a commanding piece for a stand on a sideboard or study shelf.
